Terms of Service

Effective October 3, 2026. Last updated October 25, 2026.

PraisePad (praisepad.app) is a web app for church worship teams: a song library, set lists, charts on stage, and the team schedule. These terms are the agreement between you and PraisePad (“we”) for using it. By creating an account or using PraisePad you agree to them, and to the Privacy Policy.

1. Your account

  • You must be 13 or older to have an account. Younger volunteers can be added to a church's team by its leaders without an account.
  • You sign in with your email address and a password, or with a code we email you (or with Google or Apple where offered). Keep your password and codes to yourself: anyone who has them can sign in as you.
  • You're responsible for what happens under your account. Tell us at team@praisepad.app if you think someone else has used it.
  • Two-step sign-in (a code from an authenticator app after your password) is required for a church's owners and admins, for anyone given access to children's or giving records, and for our operators, with 14 days to set it up; a church can require it of everyone on its team. Until it's on, the protected pages close after those 14 days; the rest keeps working. Keep your recovery codes safe: anyone who has one can use it.

2. Churches and roles

A church (an “organization” in PraisePad) keeps a people list, and its owners and admins answer for what goes in it and who they give access to; the church's activity log shows them who changed what for two years. A church is created by one person, its owner, who can add admins, leaders, and musicians. Owners and admins can add, invite, and disable people and change roles; leaders manage songs, services, and the schedule, and can add and invite musicians; only an owner can delete the church. Everyone on a team can see the schedule, who's scheduled, and the charts of published set lists. Contact details of team members are visible only to the church's owners, admins, and leaders, and to the person themself.

Children's information. A church that uses Kids & Check-In may record children's information, given by their parents or guardians, to check children in and out. The church is responsible for what it records; PraisePad keeps and processes it for the church, only to run check-in. Pickup always needs the code on the parent's receipt, or a Kids leader's okay, and Kids leaders need two-step sign-in. What a church emails to parents through Kids (a pickup notice, an incident note) is the church's communication; the church decides whether to turn these on. Check-in records are deleted after three years by default (a church can choose one to seven). The Privacy Policy says more.

Giving records and statements. A church that uses Giving keeps its giving records in PraisePad and is responsible for them: what it records, who it gives Giving access to, and the statements and acknowledgments it sends its givers, including whether they meet the tax rules that apply to it. PraisePad works out statements and reports from the church's records and sends them for the church; it doesn't give tax or legal advice. Records are kept for the years the church chooses (seven by default), and the Privacy Policy says more.

Online giving through PraisePad Giving. A church that takes gifts online through PraisePad Giving does so on its own Stripe account, under Stripe's terms, which it agrees to with Stripe when it connects. Stripe takes its processing fee from each gift, and PraisePad takes a platform fee of 0.5% of each gift, shown in Settings and on each payout; there is no monthly charge. The church is the merchant: it is responsible for its refunds, for answering disputes in its Stripe dashboard, for the receipts and statements it sends, and for keeping its Stripe account in good standing. PraisePad may pause a church's give page when a run of failed card attempts looks like card testing, or when Stripe asks; the church's Giving managers are told, and gifts already made stay in the church's Stripe balance. Monthly gifts run on the schedule the giver chose until the giver or the church ends them; if the church disconnects Stripe, they end and each giver is told.

Event tickets through PraisePad Giving. A church that sells tickets or registrations for its events through PraisePad Giving is the seller, not PraisePad: it sells on its own Stripe account and under Stripe's terms, as with gifts. Stripe takes its processing fee from each ticket, and PraisePad takes its platform fee of 0.5% of each ticket, as on gifts; card details go to Stripe, never to PraisePad. The church sets its own refund policy and makes its own refunds (cancelling a sign-up never refunds it by itself: the church decides), answers disputes in its Stripe dashboard, and is responsible for any sales tax on what it sells. A ticket isn't a donation, and its receipt isn't a giving receipt: it says the ticket isn't tax-deductible, and ticket money is never on a giving statement. When PraisePad pauses a church's give page (above), its ticket sales pause too.

Event questions and agreements. A church is responsible for the questions it asks people signing up for its events, and for the words it asks them to agree to (a waiver or a photo release, say). PraisePad keeps the answers, and the words each sign-up agreed to with the time, for the church; it doesn't write those words or give legal advice about them.

3. Your content and licenses

  • Your church's songs, charts, lyrics, files, set lists, and schedule are yours. We don't claim ownership of them. You give us permission to store, copy, and display them only as needed to run PraisePad for your church (for example, to show a chart on a musician's iPad, to send a scheduling email, or to keep a copy for offline use on a member's device).
  • Most worship songs are copyrighted. By uploading or typing a chart, lyrics, or a file, your church confirms it holds the licenses that allow it to do so, such as a CCLI Church Copyright License (with the Streaming or Rehearsal licenses where they apply) or the publisher's permission. PraisePad doesn't supply lyrics or charts, and doesn't report your usage to CCLI or anyone else; the song usage report is there to help you do that yourself.
  • Charts and files stay within your church. Sharing them outside your church, including through guest links, is allowed only where your licenses allow it.
  • Libraries are never shared between churches. There is no global song database.
  • We respond to copyright complaints as described on the Copyright page, and may remove content that is the subject of a valid notice.

4. Acceptable use

Don't use PraisePad to:

  • store or share content your church has no right to;
  • get into another church's data, another person's account, or PraisePad's systems;
  • send unwanted email or messages through it, or use it to harass anyone;
  • copy the service to build a competing one, or interfere with how it runs;
  • break the law, or the rights of others.

We may suspend or close accounts and churches that do these things.

5. Availability and changes

PraisePad is new and in beta. We work to keep it available, especially on Sunday mornings, and the stage view keeps working offline once a set is downloaded; but we can't promise it will never be down, slow, or wrong. We may change or discontinue features.

6. Plans, payment, and refunds

Plans. Each church has its own plan, by the size of its team: Free, Team 10, Team 25, Team 50, Team 100, or Enterprise. A library for one musician has Solo or Solo Plus. What each plan includes and costs is on praisepad.app/pricing and under Billing in the app. Prices are in US dollars.

Free trial. A new church gets 14 days of Team 10, for up to 5 people, and a new library for one gets 14 days of Solo Plus. No card is needed, and there's one trial per account. If you don't subscribe, the church moves to Free when the trial ends, with everything it made kept.

Renewal. A paid plan renews automatically, each month or each year from the day you subscribed, and is charged to the card on file (or invoiced, below) until you cancel. A receipt is emailed for each payment.

Changing plans. A change applies at once. The difference for the rest of the month or year is charged, or credited toward later payments.

Cancelling and refunds. You can cancel at any time under Billing. A monthly plan stays until the end of the month you've paid for. A yearly plan cancelled within 60 days of a yearly payment ends at once, with a refund of the whole months not yet started; after 60 days, it stays until the end of the year. Either way the church then moves to Free, with everything kept. Other payments aren't refunded, except where the law requires it.

Paying by invoice. A yearly Team plan can be paid by invoice. The invoice is due 30 days after it's sent, and the plan starts right away. If it's still unpaid 30 days after its due date, the plan ends and the church moves to Free.

The AI allowance and AI credit. Each plan includes an amount of AI use each month. It resets on the 1st, in your church's time zone, and doesn't carry over. AI credit you buy is used after the month's allowance and doesn't expire.

If a payment fails, our payment provider tries again over the following days and we'll let the owners know. If it can't be collected, the plan ends and the church moves to Free.

Over a limit. On a smaller plan, a church over its limits keeps everything: nothing is deleted or hidden, and adding more is what stops until it's within the limits or on a bigger plan.

The beta. Churches we invited to the beta use PraisePad at no cost until their beta ends. We'll email their owners before then, with time to choose a plan.

Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your full card or bank details.

7. Ending

  • You can delete your account at any time in Your settings. Your notes and settings go with it; your name stays on the services you were part of, in your churches' histories.
  • An owner can delete a church. Its data is removed for good 30 days later; until then, we can restore it if that was a mistake.
  • Owners and admins can export the church's data (songs, files, services, and usage) at any time from Settings, on every plan.
  • We may close accounts that break these terms, and may end the service with reasonable notice, giving you time to export your data.

8. No warranties, and limits on liability

PraisePad is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or losses from content your church uploaded. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you paid nothing. Some places don't allow these limits, so some may not apply to you.

9. Other terms

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state where PraisePad's operator is based, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
  • If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll show the change when you next sign in and give you a chance to agree.
  • If any part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.
  • PraisePad finds and plays YouTube videos through YouTube API Services. By using those features, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service.
  • Questions: team@praisepad.app.
